Bluescreen breakdown.

This won't be my most exciting post, but I was pleased with how this turned out.
A series we made for BBC 4 has been going out for the last couple of weeks, and each episode has at least one bluescreen shot in it. The reason for this is that we reused some interviews filmed fifteen plus years ago, so not only do they not have backgrounds, but are in 4:3. Anyway, this was my first stab at bluescreen work, and I'm pretty pleased with the results:

TTV Sting

The Teachers TV Lesson Starters strand sting is finally completed! Actually, I finished it ages ago, and it's been part of the backlog of things I have to update the site with since early November last year...

Anyway, here it is:

It's changed a fair bit from what was originally planned, this is due to the Lesson Starters series expanding beyond being just for Primary level children, and the beginning of some aimed at people at Secondary school. So the idea of a fun, character animated piece was dropped to avoid putting older children off, and the priority instead became showing as much of the variety of the programmes as possible.

Oh, I've tidied up the look of the blog a bit, too.

It's been awhile, sorry...

But I have been very busy! Here is the first of several things that I need to post:

Little Stampede Visual Loop from Michael Lansdell on Vimeo.

It's a visual piece I made for Bristol band Little Stampede, who are playing their last gig this Saturday. It's intentionally slow, so as not to distract from their performance. I made it quite quickly, so whilst there could be more to it I don't think it's too shabby for what it is. The two songs are from their last album, Lunatics Ball. Oh, and the graphics come from the album cover I did for them awhile ago.

More stuff coming soon :o)
